How are the sessions run? Do I need to stay?

Our sessions run for one hour, and include messy & sensory play, group time + more. Our sessions are themed, which can be found on our home page, allowing your little one to make real-world connections to the items they are playing with. Our sessions are uniquely developed to not only provide a place where children are free to explore using their senses, but also for new parents to meet. Parent supervision is required at all times.

Do parents need to purchase tickets?

Absolutely not! Only participating children require tickets for any of our free or paid events. Adults will never need tickets.

What age does my child need to be?

We recommend our classes for children aged 5m (or sitting unassisted) right through to 5 years (for our messy & sensory play activities, and ages 4-12 years for our older activities including craft sessions & Slime School. For those with children under 5 months old (or not sitting unassisted), they may not be able to enjoy the full experience.

Is everything taste-safe?

Yes. Occasionally we may use an ingredient or substitute items, particularly if we are catering for specific allergies during that particular session. If this is the case, the Messy Educator at the session will advise you which items are not taste safe.

Do you cater for allergies?

Do I need to help clean?

Yes - we cater for all allergies. Please notify us at the time of booking in the allergy box and we'll ensure that the session doesn't contain any ingredients that you have specified. We know the importance of being all inclusive and do not wish for any child to miss out!

Definitely not! We encourage mess. Once the session has finished, the Messy Educator running the session will take care of all the mess. So please come, enjoy your time and don't worry about the cleaning!

What do I need to bring?

We suggest wearing clothes to a session that you don't mind getting marked. We also recommend bringing a towel to wipe down after the session, as well as a change of clothes. Worried about getting your clothes messy? Check out our online shop and grab yourself a Messy Makers T-Shirt!

What if I can't make a session?

If you're unable to make a session, just let us know via email more than 24 hours prior to the start of the session and we can arrange a 100% credit for a future session of your choice. If notifying us within 24 hours of the event, we can offer a 50% credit. Unfortunately if we are notified after the session commences, we are unable to offer anything. Please note, each booking made can be moved once.

Can I bring under 5 month's with me?

Of course! If they are under 5 months and unable to participate, you are more than welcome to bring them along without booking a spot. If they will be participating, we kindly ask you to pre-purchase a ticket prior, as we limit the number of attendees per session.

How are your free/discounted sessions different to standard charge sessions?

You will see a few more people attending our free and discounted sessions compared to our standard sessions. While we do still ensure that session numbers are capped, if you prefer a more intimate session with lower attendees, please visit one of our regular sessions right across Sydney & the Central Coast.
